Learn to Do Right

Isaiah 1:17

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

We each have been given gifts to serve others and to do what is right. Let’s be faithful stewards of God’s grace by using our gifts to do the right thing for others and not just stand idly by. Let’s give our time and volunteer our gifts and abilities to help those in need. Much mercy was shown to you when Jesus gave His life for you, therefore, show mercy to those in need. Right their wrongs, plead their case, defend the oppressed and seek justice for all. Do what you can, when you can, for as many as you can.

Use Your Gifts

Romans 12 6-8

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:6-8

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

By the grace of God, He has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you and the church. Not everyone has the same gift, each one of us is unique but together we make the body of Christ complete. There are different types of gifts but it is the same God that works in all of you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts for the good of the church and humanity. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.

Love the Unlovable

Luke 6 32

Verse of the Day:  Luke 6:32

If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

It’s easy to love someone who loves you and is good to you. The challenge then, is to love the unlovable and those who have been forgotten by society. Start seeing them the way God sees them. Love them like Jesus did and show mercy and grace to all who need salvation. Let the fruit of the Spirit be evident in the way you love the outcast, the poor and the sinner. Find ways to do good for them and to share the love of God with them and don’t forget to pray for them too.
