Godly Wisdom

James 3:17

Verse of the Day:  James 3:17

Wisdom that comes from heaven is pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

There is a difference between people who have Godly wisdom and people who are wise in their own eyes. Godly wisdom comes from the Lord and it gives us the desire to live a life that is obedient and respectful to God and His holiness no matter what trials we face. It helps us to see the best in people, to be patient and to forgive others and it also help us to step back in the interest of peace when appropriate. It allows us to be open to receiving good advice and godly counsel. It compels us to be merciful and compassionate toward all people leading us to do the good works God has already planned for us with a sincere and impartial heart. How do we get this wisdom? God reveals it through the Holy Spirit and through His Word to every believer in Christ who asks in faith.

Wise Decisions

James 1 5

Verse of the Day:  James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

God is the giver all good things including wisdom. We need God’s spiritual wisdom in our everyday lives to navigate this world. When you have a decision to make take it to the Lord in prayer. God is all-knowing, He knows your past, your present and your future. Bring your concerns to Him with sincerity and humility. Ask the Lord for guidance and wisdom to make good and right decisions. He promises that if you come to Him by faith asking for wisdom it will be given to you.

Earnestly Seek God

Psalm 63 1

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 63:1

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

If you really want to have a relationship with God you must seek Him with all of your heart, soul, body and mind. You must turn from evil, confess your sins and be obedient to His Word. You need to make time with Him a priority and you have to want it more than anything else. Be consistent in your study of the Bible and pray continually. Humble yourself before the Lord and worship Him with a sincere heart and you will surely find Him.

Pray for God’s Will to Be Done

Matthew 6 10.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:10

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

If you don’t know how to pray or what to pray for, start by praying for God’s will to be done in your life. Praying for God’s will to be done is an act of faith because we know and believe God’s will is perfect and we trust in the plans He has for us. Don’t be intimidated by long, loud or eloquent prayers.  Prayer doesn’t have to be full of big, fancy words it just has to be from your heart.  Have a sincere conversation with God and pray knowing and believing that He hears you.

Worry or Worship

philippians 4 6

Verse of the Day:  Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Whatever it is that worries you whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself or for someone else bring it to God in prayer.  Humbly come before your heavenly Father with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He’s done for you in the past, thank Him for hearing your prayer in the present and thank Him in advance for answering your prayer in the future. Come to Him with an honest heart, tell Him how you feel and what you need.  He already knows, but He wants to hear it from you.

Your Moment

esther 4 14

Verse of the Day:  Esther 4:14

Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.

God has a purpose and a plan for your life. The question is, will you submit to God’s will? We can go our entire life not knowing our purpose but when you humble yourself and submit to God’s will things start to fall into place. Seek God above all else with a sincere heart. Ask Him to reveal your purpose and start following your God given dreams.

Seek the Lord

Jeremiah 29 13.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

When you seek the Lord with a sincere heart you will find Him.  God hears your prayers and knows yours heart.  God promises that if you humble yourself, pray, seek His face and turn from your wicked ways He will hear you. Make God a priority in the coming year by making time to read His Word and spending time with Him in prayer. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you but it’s up to you to seek Him.

Make Wise Decisions

James 1 5

Verse of the Day:  James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

When you have a decision to make that you are uncertain about, take it to the Lord in prayer.  God is wise and all knowing, the giver of all good things.  Bring your concerns to Him with sincerity and ask for guidance and wisdom to make the right decision.

Do It with Love

Proverbs 31 20

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:20

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.

As godly women who love the Lord we should aspire to help the poor and needy.  That doesn’t mean we all have to do extraordinary things.  Sometimes, it’s simply a kind word or a sincere gesture.  Each of us should do what God puts in our heart and do it with love.

Earnestly Seek God

Psalm 63 1.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 63:1

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

If you want to have a closer relationship with God you must seek him with a sincere heart, soul, body, and mind.  You must want it more than anything else. You need to put God first and make time to spend with him and when you do you will find him.
