Use Your Gifts

Romans 12 6-8

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:6-8

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

By the grace of God, He has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you and the church. Not everyone has the same gift, each one of us is unique but together we make the body of Christ complete. There are different types of gifts but it is the same God that works in all of you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts for the good of the church and humanity. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.

Set the Example

Titus 2 7-8

Verse of the Day:  Titus 2:7-8

In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

It’s not enough to just deliver the message and teachings, you have to live it too. It’s easy to say one thing and do another but if you really love God you will strive to set the example for others. Live a life of integrity and uprightness during good times and in difficult times. Don’t give your critics anything bad to say about you instead let your light shine for others to see so that they may be moved to know, love and serve God.

Teach by Example

1 12-2 1 Psalm 34 11

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 34:11

Come, my children, listen to me:  I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The best gift you can give your children is to teach them to obey and follow the Lord which leads to wisdom, prosperity and a happy life. Teaching children to fear the Lord doesn’t mean they should be afraid of Him, it means they should respect Him and put Him first in their lives. Fear of the Lord requires awe, reverence, adoration, honor, worship, faith, trust, thankfulness, and love.  We teach these to our children not just by word but by example. Share Jesus, the greatest gift of all, with your children.

Children Are A Blessing

1 9-23 1

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 127:3

Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord.

Every child is a blessing and a gift from God, unique and special in their own way.  It is up to us to guide and protect them and to teach them the ways of the Lord.  Inspire and encourage your children by being an example of what it is to be a child of God.  Pray for your children and ask God to bless them and don’t forget to thank the Lord for this special blessing.
