For the weapons of our warfare are not physical, but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.
We each fight spiritual battles every day. Discouragement, anger, stress and defeat are just some of the enemy’s tactics as he tries to bring you down. When the devil sees that God has something great for you just around the corner he will fight his hardest to keep you from what God has in store for you. Be alert and recognize his schemes so you don’t fall into his traps. Arm yourself with spiritual weapons, the Word of God and prayer. We will not win the war against evil by our own strength but by the power of the mighty God we serve. Whatever you are battling today remember that God is on your side and you are more than a conqueror through Christ.
Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
Don’t fall into the enemy’s trap of comparing yourself to anyone else. Comparing yourself to someone who is better off than you can cause you to become jealous or envious. Likewise, comparing yourself to someone who is not doing as well as you could cause you to become vain and prideful. Just concern yourself with your own actions and conduct but if you are determined to compare yourself, compare yourself to Christ. Focus on being the best person you can be by following the example of Jesus Christ and live your life according to God’s Word.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Whether you realize it or not, the enemy, the ruler of darkness and evil is constantly waging spiritual battles against you and you never know what the new day may bring. Be vigilant and always on guard, consciously abstaining from sin. Stand firm in your beliefs, in the doctrine and true Word of God. Be brave and courageous as a soldier in God’s army knowing that through Christ the victory is already yours. Start each day with prayer asking the Lord to be with you and to give you courage and strength to face whatever comes your way.
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.
God knows the battles you face each day. Some of us have physical battles we have to live with, some of us have emotional battles from the past that we need to work through and some of us are fighting spiritual battles against the enemy on a daily basis. You don’t have to be afraid and you don’t have to be discouraged. You are a soldier of Christ so put on the full armor of God. Show up, stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord to protect you, to fight for you and to give you the victory. You are not alone and you can face tomorrow with the help of the Lord.
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Every believer at one time or another has doubts, fear or times when their faith is weak. The enemy will try to destroy your faith by planting seeds of doubt in your mind. But, as long as you still have some faith, even as small as a mustard seed, God will work with what you have. If you still believe, God can change your heart, heal your body or move mountains for you. It’s not about your power or your strength, it’s about having faith in the power of Jesus Christ and believing that His grace is sufficient. When you feel doubt and fear creeping in ask God to strengthen your faith so that you can overcome your unbelief.
