Thanksgiving Day is over and not everyone has or was able to spend time with family and friends. These last couple of years have been extremely difficult for many people and for some, the holidays can be a lonely and sad time. I sometimes feel it too. I miss loved ones that have gone to be with the Lord and those who can’t be near me. But we are not alone, God is with us in every moment of every day. If we focus on the Lord, His goodness and our blessings He will get us through it. He will give us comfort, peace, and joy when we draw near to Him.
Lord, thank You for being the lifter of my head. You see me, You know me and You are always there for me. Help me to stay focused on You and to count my blessings, not my troubles. Grant me comfort, peace, and joy as I draw near to You. Amen
