Verse of the Day: 1 John 4:16
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
If your first thought of the day is “God loves me” it will change the way you react to things that happen throughout your day. No matter what happens tell yourself, “It’s going to be okay, God loves me”. You can rely on God’s love for you and His strength will get you through the most difficult days if only you would trust in His love for you.
Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up. Jesus said we would have troubles then He said not to worry because He overcame the world. Bad things happen, it’s how we handle them that matters. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and have confidence in His love for you because He will get you through your troubles.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 14:30
A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
When you have a real relationship with God, He changes your heart. You start to feel freed from anger, worry and envy. You have peace in your heart and a hope that makes you joyful. But a heart that envies the happiness, prosperity and success of others exhausts the body and soul. Don’t let envy steal your peace and joy, don’t let it affect your spirit or your health. Trust in the Lord, what is meant for you won’t pass you by.
Verse of the Day: Isaiah 26:4
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
Building trust takes time. The more you get to know God, the more your trust in Him will grow. When you truly trust in God you will experience the perfect peace that comes from knowing that God is in control. Worrying doesn’t change a thing. Instead, focus on getting to know God and let of go of worry and let God have His way in your life.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 37:3
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
There is a two-step process to receive this promise. The Lord will take care of all your needs but you need to trust in Him and do good. Notice it says “and” do good, not “or” do good. While you are waiting and trusting on God to fulfill His promise have faith. Moreover, do good, always keeping His commandments and doing the things that are pleasing to the Him.
Verse of the Day: Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
As 2018 comes to a close we can thank God for seeing us through another year. Though we may have had struggles we made it through them with the help of the Lord. The new year, 2019, will soon be here and it’s a time for new beginnings. Trust in the Lord to renew your strength and refresh your spirit, remember you are more than conquerors through God who loves you and with God, all things are possible.
Verse of the Day: Matthew 26:39
And going a little farther, He fell on His face and prayed, saying, my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless; not as I will, but as you will.
Jesus gave us the example of how to pray when going through something difficult. He prayed to God saying, if it’s possible let this difficult situation pass from me but let it be what you want, not what I want. God knows everything from the beginning to the end we just need to trust Him and pray for His will to be done in our lives.
