God’s Love Endures Forever

Psalm 100 5

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 100:5

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

God loves us and His love is forever not because of anything we have done or anything we will ever do, but because He is good. His lovingkindness for His people will continue forever. His timing is good, His mercy and grace are good, everything He does is good. His truth continues for all generations and He is faithful in keeping His promises. We can always count on Him because He never changes, even when we are faithless, He remains faithful. People may fail you but God never will.

Understanding God’s Word

Psalm 119 130 2

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 119:130

The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

If you read the Holy Bible in faith, studying the truth, asking God to give you understanding of what was, what is and what is to come – the Lord, by his grace, will enlighten your mind and soul. He will help you understand the scriptures, His plan for salvation and He will give you spiritual peace and comfort. God’s word gives understanding to all who earnestly seek Him and are willing to learn.

Worship in Spirit and in Truth

John 4 23

Verse of the Day:  John 4:23

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

God is looking for people who will worship Him with all of their heart and soul. He doesn’t want people who are just going through the motions or performing ceremonies. That’s not all He wants, your worship must also be in truth.  In order to worship the truth, we must know the truth which is found in God’s Word. Truth comes from the certainty in knowing who God is and by having a personal relationship with Him. The more you know who God is the more genuine your worship becomes. As #knowingyou begin to worship God in spirit and in truth you will be transformed by His grace because worship changes everything!

The Truth Will Set You Free

John 8 32 (2)

Verse of the Day:  John 8:32

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Jesus Christ offers freedom and has the power to free your mind, body and soul from the bondage of sin and those that are set free by the Son are truly free. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. You will know the truth when your mind and your heart are opened to a greater understanding and clearer knowledge by studying the Word of God.  If you accept and obey His teachings as truth you are true disciples.

Love Requires Action

1 John 3 18

Verse of the Day:  1 John 3:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

When it comes to our fellow man let’s not just talk about loving them, let’s show them the love of God with our actions.   Let’s act on each other’s behalf by supplying their needs and unloading their burdens.  Let’s find ways to be a blessing and help one another.

A Bitter Heart

Matthew 12 34.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 12:34

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Don’t let evil thoughts and feelings fester in your heart.   If you are holding on to some sort of bitterness try to get to the bottom of what is making you feel this way. Ask God to help you get rid of any resentment and anger you may be holding on to. Eventually, what is in your heart will pour out of your mouth and cause you problems.

You Are Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 139:14

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

If you’ve ever felt insecure for any reason and most of us have, you can rest assured that you are God’s own masterpiece. Everything God makes is wonderful including you. Praise God because his Word is true and you are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Start seeing yourself the way God sees you, his wonderful creation.
