Verse of the Day: Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; in whom I will trust.
When we have a personal relationship with God we learn to trust Him in all situations. We know that no matter what is going on around us we can count on Him to be there for us because we know He loves us and always has our best interest at heart. People may fail you but God never will.
Verse of the Day: Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
Your sins have been forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. What once was scarlet, is now white as snow. Your sins are forgiven. Jesus paid the ultimate price for you and your debt has been forgiven. Let the guilt and shame of the past be cleansed by God’s grace and mercy.
Verse of the Day: Acts 18:9
One night the Lord spoke to Paul, “Do not be afraid, keep on speaking, do not be silent.”
We live in a society where everyone wants to give their opinion on anything and everything. As believers in Christ we must be courageous and willing to stand up for what we believe in, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Don’t be afraid to share Jesus with the world, just tell them what God has done for you.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 37:8
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret–it leads only to evil.
Sometimes, during an argument, in the heat of the moment we say things we don’t mean. We let our anger get the best of us and we lose control of our emotions. If you find yourself on either side of this situation you need to do two things: First, let go of your anger, it only leads to evil; and second, forgive each other because your heavenly Fathers forgives you. (Matthew 6:14)
Verse of the Day: Hebrews 6:18
God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.
The Bible tells us that God cannot lie. His promises are unchangeable. We can be confident in and count on God’s promises for all eternity. Not only can we count on God’s promises but we can also live our lives by them.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Before we were ever born, God saw us and He knew all about us. He knew everything from our first day to our last. He sees us, He hears us, He knows our thoughts and He knows our hearts. Isn’t it wonderful to know that our God knows us personally? Now, we must not only know of Him and His works, but we must seek to know Him personally.
Verse of the Day: Ephesians 1:17
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
My deepest wish and desire is that I may know Him better. With every day, week, month and year that passes my hope is that I may gain wisdom and revelation that brings me closer to Him. I want more of you, God, less of me and more of you, God.
