Verse of the Day: Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Even though Jesus was born King, by His own example He teaches us humility. The Bible says that Jesus did not come to be served but to serve. As ambassadors of Christ our lives should exemplify His traits and should reflect Christ in us. Let’s follow His example of humility by serving the less fortunate this holiday season and throughout the year. Verse of the Day: Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Let your light shine by doing good deeds so that others will glorify God. There are many people in need of help right in your own community. Volunteering your time to homeless shelters, food banks or other nonprofit organizations will help people experience the love and goodness of God.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 72:13
He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save.
The Lord has compassion on the weak and needy. We must also have a heart of compassion for those in need. If there’s a specific issue that touches your heart, take the next step and make a donation or volunteer your time to an organization that addresses those needs.
