Intercession by the Holy Spirit

Romans 8:26

Verse of the Day:  Romans 8:26

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Even on our best days we may struggle to find the words to pray. We may lack the wisdom to know exactly what we need but the Holy Spirit is there to help us. And on our worse days, we may come before God feeling defeated and overwhelmed to the point where words cannot convey what we want or need to say. Tears may stream down our face as we humbly come before the almighty God. It’s okay if we don’t have the right words or any words at all. The Holy Spirit searches our heart, will intercede for us and help us by interpreting what is in our heart. The Holy Spirit that lives in us also helps us to remember God’s promises, reminds us of God’s love, acts as a comforter in our suffering and gives us strength. Let the Holy Spirit work in you, lead you and guide you through prayer and in life.

Biblical Meekness is Not Weakness

Matthew 5:5

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 5:5

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth

The world considers meekness to be a weakness. When they hear the word meek they automatically think of someone who is shy and won’t stand up for themselves. They might even imagine a person who allows people to walk all over them and allows people to treat them badly. As a human characteristic meekness is seen as negative trait. However, meekness is a fruit of the Spirit and is an attribute of God. Jesus was the perfect example of meekness. He had every right and the power to take Himself off the cross but He chose to submit to God’s will for the greater good. The kind of meekness the Bible talks about isn’t being weak, it’s the opposite, it’s being so strong that you are in control of your emotions and actions. The Biblical characteristic of meekness is described as being submissive to God, obedient, righteous, teachable, patient, humble, and peaceful even in the face of adversity. Do not let the world confuse you. Biblical meekness is not a weakness and God blesses the meek and promises that they will inherit the earth and enjoy peace and prosperity.

God’s Grace

Verse of the Day:   2 Corinthians 12:9

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

God’s grace is enough to transform any situation. The more you trust in God the more His strength and power are evident in your life. When you are weak call on the Lord, He will strengthen and support you as you go through trials. He will comfort and refresh your spirit as you trust in Him. It may not be easy, but when you surrender to God, He will give you peace like no other. The world we live in has changed drastically and the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour but God’s saving grace gives you the victory. In all your times of need, have faith that God’s grace is enough to see you through and trust in Him with all your heart.

Standing in the Gap

Luke 5 20 2

Verse of the Day:  Luke 5:20

And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man your sins are forgiven you.”

In Luke chapter 5 some men carried their paralyzed friend to see Jesus for healing. When they couldn’t reach Him, because of the crowds, they didn’t give up and they went through the roof. When Jesus saw their faith He forgave the man’s sins and his body was healed. Had it not been for the faith of the friends the man may never have been healed. You may know someone who is going through something so difficult it’s beginning to weaken their faith. That’s where your own faith comes in to play. You can be the bridge to God by praying and interceding for your friends and family. You can stand in the gap by letting your faith carry them when they are weak. Keep praying for your friends, family, and loved ones – miracles still happen!

Christ Strengthens Us

Philippians 4 13

Verse of the Day:  Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Christ strengthens us in everything we do. It’s not limited to spirituality. He also strengthens us in whatever areas of our life we are weak or struggling, including physical, emotional and financial battles. Changing our old ways and habits can be hard when we try to do it by our own strength and often we fail. The good news is we don’t have to do it all alone or by our own strength.  We have Jesus on our side and we “can” do all things through Christ who strengthens us. By faith Jesus lives in us and that means we have His strength in us. Give whatever you are struggling with over to Jesus and let Him be your strength and your guide.

At times we come before the Lord feeling defeated to the point where words cannot convey what we want to say to Him. Tears stream down our face as we humble ourselves before the almighty God. God’s Love Never Fails

1 10-31 1

Verse of the Day:   Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

As humans we are not perfect, we make mistakes.  No matter how much we want to do better we sometimes fail, we sometimes let God and ourselves down.  But we serve a mighty God and no matter how many times we fall, he picks us up.  He continues to love us because His love never fails.  He loves us not because of who we are but because of who He is.
