Verse of the Day: Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
We are not perfect, we make mistakes and we fall to temptations and tribulations. No matter how much we want to do better we sometimes fail, we sometimes let God and ourselves down. Sometimes we question God’s reasons for why things happen and sometimes we let our faith waiver. But we serve a loving God and no matter how many times we fall, He picks us up. He continues to love us because His love never fails. He loves us not because of who we are but because of who He is. Our body and spirit may fail us, but God never will. Draw near to the Lord, put your hope in Him, for He alone is our strength and our ever present and never failing refuge now and for all eternity.
Verse of the Day: 1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
The Bible doesn’t say, “Give thanks to the Lord when you feel good”. It says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good”. Giving thanks shouldn’t be based on how you feel, it should be based on who God is, and He is good all the time. If you’re reading this it means you woke up this morning, thank God for waking you up. Thank God for all He’s done for you both big and small. Thank God for what He’s done for you both seen and unseen. Thank God for the things that didn’t happen, the things you didn’t even know you need protection from. Praise God because there is always something to be thankful for.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 51:2 (NLT)
Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
There isn’t anything you can do to earn God’s forgiveness. You are forgiven because of who God is not who you are. God sent His only Son to pay the price for your sins. You need to confess that you are a sinner who needs a Savior and believe that Jesus died to save you. You can let go of the guilt you’ve been carrying because God has forgiven you and now it’s time to forgive yourself.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 145:8
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in mercy.
Where would we be if not for God’s grace, compassion, patience and mercy? We serve a mighty God who can do anything and although we don’t deserve any of His goodness, He still loves us. We can face tomorrow not because of who we are, but because of who God is.
Verse of the Day: John 4:23
But the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way.
God is looking for people who will worship Him with passion, with their heart and soul. But that’s not all, it must also be in truth. Truth comes from the certainty in knowing who God is. The more we know who God is the more genuine our worship becomes. As you begin to worship God in spirit and in truth you will be transformed by His grace. Worship changes everything!
