Stop Worrying, Start Serving

Matthew 6 27 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:27

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Worrying doesn’t change a thing and it sure doesn’t add any benefit to your life. Instead of worrying start serving. When you’re busy serving you don’t have as much time to worry. Focus on helping others and God will make sure your needs are taken of.

A Heart at Peace

Proverbs 14 30

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 14:30

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

When you have a real relationship with God, He changes your heart.  You start to feel freed from anger, worry and envy.  You have peace in your heart and a hope that makes you joyful.  But a heart that envies the happiness, prosperity and success of others exhausts the body and soul.  Don’t let envy steal your peace and joy, don’t let it affect your spirit or your health. Trust in the Lord, what is meant for you won’t pass you by.

Worry or Worship

philippians 4 6

Verse of the Day:  Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Whatever it is that worries you whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself or for someone else bring it to God in prayer.  Humbly come before your heavenly Father with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He’s done for you in the past, thank Him for hearing your prayer in the present and thank Him in advance for answering your prayer in the future. Come to Him with an honest heart, tell Him how you feel and what you need.  He already knows, but He wants to hear it from you.

A Cheerful Heart

Proverbs 15 15

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 15:15

All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

You can choose to be worried and troubled or you can choose to trust God and be happy.  The way to a cheerful heart begins in giving thanks to God in every situation. You can always find something to be thankful for even if you have to look a little harder.

Philippians 4 6

What would you rather do, worry or worship?  Whatever it is that worries you, whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself, or for others, bring it to God in prayer.  Humbly come before your heavenly Father, with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries, and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He has already done for you and what He will do for you.
