Verse of the Day: 1 John 4:4

1-john-4-4

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:4

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

We have been chosen and adopted by God as His own children.  His unshakeable power lives in us and His word is written on our hearts as we experience His truth.  We have the victory over evil through Christ Jesus by faith.  So, when the world tries to bring you down remember that greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 12:9

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 12:9

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

God’s grace, favor, loving-kindness and mercy helps you to make it through anything. His strength and power shows itself the most when you need Him the most. When you are weak you need to depend on God more and the more you depend on God, the more strength He will give you to make it through.

Verse of the Day:  Hebrews 10:36

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

When times are tough, when you are struggling, or when things in your life seem stagnant, don’t give up and don’t lose your confidence in God. Wait without giving up, you only fail if you quit, do what God asks of you, finish your race strong, and you will receive what He has promised.

Verse of the Day – January 18, 2017 – Psalms 37:8

psalms-37-8

Verse of the Day:  Psalms 37:8

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

Sometimes, during an argument, in the heat of the moment  we say things we don’t mean. We let our anger get the best of us and we lose control of our emotions.  If you find yourself on either side of this situation you need to do two things:  First, let go of your anger, it only leads to evil and second, forgive each other because your heavenly Fathers forgives you. Verse of the Day – January 17, 2017 – Hebrews 6:18

hebrews-6-18

Verse of the Day

so that by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge would have strong encouragement and indwelling strength to hold tightly to the hope set before us.

Hebrews 6:18

The Bible tells us that God cannot lie, His promises and oaths are unchangeable.  Therefore, we can believe and be confident that if God has made a promise we can count on it and not only can we count on it, we can live our lives by it.

Verse of the Day – January 16, 2017 – Psalms 139:16

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Psalms 139:16
Before we were ever born, God saw us and He knew all about us. He sees us, He hears us, He knows our thoughts, and He knows our hearts. How wonderful to know that our God knows us and now we must not only know of Him, but seek Him to know Him personally.

Verse of the Day – January 15, 2017 – Acts 18:9

One night the Lord spoke to Paul, “Do not be afraid, keep on speaking, do not be silent.”

Acts 18:9

We live in a society where everyone wants to give their opinion on anything and everything.  As believers in Christ we must be courageous and willing to stand up for what we believe in,  Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Stand up for Jesus and the Word not the world.

This is the day which the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Today I celebrate my 51st birthday and I am so happy and I feel so blessed! God has really moved in my life this year and although there were some difficult times, with the help the Lord I got through them. I am so excited to see what the Lord has for me this year starting with the launch of The Consecrated Woman Facebook page and website. If there is one thing I have learned it’s that it is never too late to turn to the Lord and you’re never too old to change your life.

Verse of the Day – January 13, 2017 – Hebrews 3:13

hebrews3-13

But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today”.

Hebrews 3:13

There is enough negativity in the world today, be an encourager. God has called us to encourage each other daily. You never know what someone may be going through and a kind word may help them get through the day.

Verse of the Day – January 12, 2017 – Psalms 37:3

Trust in the Lord and do good.

Psalms 37:3

Waiting on God is often hard to do, especially when you want an answer now. Trust in God’s timing and while you wait on Him do good for others. Not only will it help you get through the waiting period, it will show God’s love to those in need.
