Intercession

Verse of the Day:  1 Timothy 2:1

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.

Intercession is prayer said on behalf of and for other people. Not only are we able to come before God for ourselves but we’re able to pray for God’s blessings upon our family and friends. We can pray for their needs, their health and most importantly, we can pray for their salvation. God wants all people to be saved so we should be praying for everyone we know and even those we don’t know. I can only imagine how many people have been saved and have come to know God because someone was praying for them. When we pray for others God’s love works through us. The greatest gift you can give someone is to pray for them. Nothing proves you love someone more than mentioning them in your prayers.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation and for every blessing You have poured over my life. Today, I come before You to intercede on behalf of my family and friends. Lord, I pray for their needs, their health and most importantly, their salvation. Amen
