Deborah: Leadership and Wisdom

Bible Verse:   Judges 4:4-5              

4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided.

Deborah’s story is recorded in the Book of Judges, where she is revered for her contributions to Israel as a prophetess, judge, and military leader. Renowned for her wisdom and discernment, she became a sought-after figure for her ability to provide wise counsel and decisive judgments. Deborah’s leadership was characterized by her exemplary wisdom, unwavering courage, and steadfast faith. These attributes helped her to drive the Israelites to fight against their oppressors, leading them to a victory against the Canaanite general Sisera, a feat that solidified her legacy as an essential figure in Israelite history,
